A jewellery collaboration with my great friend and designer Ros Badger of Badgers Velvet. 
 
The lightest, most comfortable 2 cm wide rolled gold hoop earrings with vintage coral pieces. Each pair will be unique in their shape and setting. 
Rolled gold was first created in England in the 19th century.It is made by fusing thin sheets of 9ct or higher gold either side of a base metal, usually silver. The metals are heat bonded then rolled into flat sheets.
Unlike gold plated jewellery (which rubs off), rolled gold has around 100 times more gold content.
 
Ros Badger formed Badger's Velvet in 2017. A unique re-purposed jewellery collection that skilfully blends precious metals with found elements, from Roman coins to fine antique Georgian pieces. Ros's earrings were recently worn by Julianne Moore in the Netflix series Mary and George. 
 
A Textile graduate of Chelsea College of Art, Ros' career spans more than 35 years during which time she has designed for Betty Jackson, Johnson’s La Rocka, Margaret Howell, U2 and Marks and Spencer among many others.
Ros has always had a passionate belief in recovering beautiful objects and this compliments her instinct for contemporary sustainable living and her life long 'waste not, want not’ philosophy.
